Dorothy Young

DALLAS — Dorothy Keesee Young was born Aug. 16, 1932, in Scott City and passed away Dec. 5, 2022, in Dallas at the age of 90.

She was the daughter of Vester Earl Sr. and Ruby Carlton Keesee. She married Rudolph P. Young, and they enjoyed many years together, traveling the world and seeing many beautiful places. They were of the Catholic faith.

Raised as a Mississippi River country girl, upon graduation of high school, she worked and retired from Delta Airlines.

Dorothy enjoyed classical music, loved God and loved her country, knowing freedom is never free! She always said, "In God we trust", and diligently did all she could to help protect our freedom for future generations.

She is survived by one niece, Cathy (Darrell) Hobbs; nephew, Kenny Keesee; and several great-nieces, -nephews and family.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Vester "Sonny" (Edna) Keesee, and sister, Karen (Joe) Garland.

A graveside service will be held at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery, and there will be a celebration of life later.
