Dorothy Ann Vickery, 77, of Ironton, Mo., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, in Ironton.

She was born May 21, 1930, in Kirkwood, Mo., daughter of Benjamin and Catherine Gibbons Comfort. She and Newland S. Vickery were married Sept. 23, 1948.

Vickery had worked in customer service at the Victorian Inn in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Ste. Marie Du Lac Catholic Church and its Council of Catholic Women in Ironton.

Survivors include four daughters, Tammy Boyer of Desloge, Mo., Judy Vickery of Cape Gir-ardeau, Mary Vickery of Scott City, Bridget Rhodes of Marysville, Ohio; three sons, Tim Vickery of Cape Girardeau, Joel Vickery of St. Charles, Mo., Nick Vickery of St. Louis; a sister, Mary Collins of Cape Gir-ardeau; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, her parents, four brothers and four sisters.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. today at Ste. Marie Du Lac Church. Burial will be at noon Wednesday in St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Patrick Nwokoye officiating.

Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.
