CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Dorothy Uthoff, 81, of Charleston died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, at her home.
She was born March 21, 1923, in Texas Bend, daughter of William Raymond and Margaret Renaud Telker. She and Verlin Bryant "Tuck" Uthoff were married April 27, 1944, in Charleston.
Uthoff had been a cook at the Host House, which is now Charleston Manor. She was a lifetime member of St. Henry Catholic Church, member of Daughters of Isabella and served on many committees.
She attended St. Henry School.
Survivors include her husband; five sons, Gary and Bill Uthoff of St. Louis, Robert Uthoff of Slidell, La., Greg Uthoff of New Milford, N.J., Dr. Fred Uthoff of Sikeston, Mo.; two daughters, Judy Poyner of Scott City, Nancy Leigh of Goldsboro, N.C.; two brothers, Joe and Charles Telker of Charleston; a sister, Frances Telker of Charleston; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Prayers will be said at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Henry Catholic Church, with Monsignor Richard Rolwing, Monsignor Michael Swalina and the Rev. David Coon officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
