SIKESTON, Mo. — Dorothy Stout, 73, of Sikeston died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, at Clearview Nursing Center.
She was born Nov. 5, 1934, in Matthews, Mo., daughter of Clyde and Ella Houser Scott. She and Allyn Stout were married Aug. 29, 1959.
Stout was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Miner, Mo.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Leasa LaFerney of Morehouse, Mo.; a brother, Oda Scott of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Melba Hardgrave of Farrenberg, Mo.; two grandsons; and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by two sons, two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Marvin Butrum officiating. Burial will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo.
