BELL CITY -- Dorothy Evelyn Spears, 87, of Bell City, died Thursday April 8, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born July 14, 1904, near Tilman, the daughter of Jack and Minnie Taylor Jankson.
She was a homemaker and a member of the United Methodist Church of Bell City. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women and the Ladies Aid of the General Baptist Church of Bell City.
She married Gilbert Spears on Oct. 19, 1922. He preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 1982.
Survivors are three daughters, Imogene Hawkins of Hazelwood, Vivian Thompson of Advance and Evelyn Hunt of Bell City; 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and six great, great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, one daughter and one sister.
Friends may call today from 5-9 p.m. at the Morgan Funeral home in Advance. Funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church with the Revs. Jerry Turner, Doyle Stogsdill and Jim Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at the Forrest Hills Memorial Gardens at Morley.
