ORAN, Mo. -- Dorothy "Dottie" Soehlig, 98, of Oran died Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at Jackson Manor in Jackson.
She was born April 24, 1915, in Cheatham, Tenn., to the late James Thomas and Cora Batts Williams. She married Wilson "Glick" Soehlig on Dec. 25, 1943. He preceded her in death June 13, 1997.
Dorothy was a member of First Baptist Church in Oran, where she was nursery coordinator and known as "Mrs. Dottie" to all the children and fellow church members. She was on the Oran Library Board, member of the Missionary Society of the Baptist Church and nursery worker in the Charleston Baptist Association.
Survivors include three nephews, James Robinson, Ralph Williams and the Rev. Jerry Williams; and two nieces, Patsy Ann Freeman and Stephanie Soehlig.
She was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel. The Rev. Donny Ford will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Jerry Williams. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley, Mo.
