DOROTHY SAUERBRUNN

OLMSTED, Ill. -- Funeral service for Dorothy Sauerbrunn of Olmsted will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Methodist Church. The Rev. Joey Dunning will officiate, with burial in Concord Cemetery.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds after 5 p.m. today, and at the church Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until service time.

Sauerbrunn, 83, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 1997, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo.

She was born Jan. 29, 1914, in Ullin, daughter of Henry and Cora Wright Shafer. She married Louis Sauerbrunn, who died in 1981.

Sauerbrunn was a member of First Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Cora Spurney of New Douglas; three sons, Dean Sauerbrunn of Bristol, Harold Sauerbrunn of Olmsted, Kenneth Sauerbrunn of Jackson, Mo.; a brother, Clarence Shafer of Olmsted; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, four sisters, and a brother.
