Dorothy Sanders

Dorothy M. Sanders, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born July 29, 1928, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of John and Ada Jones James. She and Harold R. Sanders were married Sept. 10, 1947, in Cape Girardeau.

Mrs. Sanders had worked at Brokerage Co. and Montgomery Ward. She was a member of Health South Aquatic Classes and Capaha Antique Car Club.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda K. and Steve L. White of Niceville, Fla.; a sister, Lorene Heaton of Cape Girardeau; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Melvin and Ella L. Sanders Gateley of Cape Girardeau; and two grandchildren, Adam and Cory White.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pat Bodenschatz and Lillian Hobbs.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
