Dorothy E. Reinwald, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Feb. 10, 2020, at Chateau Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 4, 1933, in Evansville, Indiana, to Raymond and Louise Magdalene Grassman Schu. She and William F. Reinwald were married Feb. 6, 1953, at Pigott, Arkansas. He passed away Dec. 1, 2006.
She was a former secretary/bookkeeper for Farm Bureau in Carmi, Illinois, and was involved with the Illinois Extension Service. She loved to travel, enjoyed performing arts and spending time with family.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Deborah (Jeff) Baumgart of Cape Girardeau; son, William F. Reinwald Jr. of Independence, Missouri; and grandchildren, Joshua Baumgart, Madison Baumgart, Alaina Baumgart, Garrett Reinwald and Courtney Reinwald.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Marian; and brother, Robert.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., with parish prayers at 7 p.m., today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Brian Straus officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Big Prairie Cemetery in Carmi.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
