Dorothy L. Pugh, 92, formerly of Jackson, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016, at Chateau Girardeau Nursing Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 9, 1924, in St. Louis, daughter of Clarence and Marjorie Reitz Richardson. She and Wiley Pugh were married Feb. 6, 1943, in St. Louis. He passed away March 30, 1997.
Dorothy was a member of Peter's Memorial Presbyterian Church in St. Louis. She was a 1942 graduate of Roosevelt High School in St. Louis and retired from Ramsey Corp. in St. Louis after 20 years. Dorothy was a former Girl Scouts of America leader, a member of the St. Louis Gem and Mineral Society and loved gardening.
Loving survivors include a son, Don Pugh (Ellen McMahon) of Jackson; a daughter, Judy Pantazo of Vista, California; a grandson, Derek Pugh of Whiteman Air Force Base near Sedalia, Missouri; a sister, Roberta Frechmann of St. Louis; and a niece, Teri Davidson of Arnold, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
The visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
A graveside funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Fruitland, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Chateau Girardeau Foundation Employees Fund or the American Diabetes Association.
