Dorothy Heise Pinkston, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Aug. 17, 1932, in Cape Girardeau to Elmer T. and Hazel Maevers Heise.
She was baptized Sept. 4, 1932, and confirmed May 20, 1945, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills.
She worked and retired from Plaza Tire Service, after 19 years of service. She was also a member and president of Parents Without Partners.
Dorothy was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau, where she was a charter member.
Survivors include a son, Steven (Debbie) Pinkston of Friedheim; two daughters, Marilyn (Basil) Harrison of Cape Girardeau and Diane Pinkston of Houston; a brother, Ivan (Doris Jean) Heise of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, Nichole Larmie of House Springs, Missouri, Elliott (Christina) Larmie of Punta Gorda, Florida, and Charles (Jennifer) Pinkston of Hazlett, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Samuel Larmie of Punta Gorda and Nathaniel Pfiefer of House Springs; and former spouse, Bryan Pinkston Jr.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Harold (Elnora) Heise.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at the church, with the Rev. Weston Wildauer officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Egypt Mills.
