Dorothy Paar, 76, of Gilbertsville, Ky., died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
She was born Friday, July 27, 1934, in Leeman, Mo., to Lee Burton and Virginia Abernathy Seabaugh.
She and Buss Paar were married Saturday, Oct. 5, 1957, at Jackson.
Dorothy taught for one year at St. Clair Grade School and was later the store manager for Electric Supply Co. Inc. in Cape Girardeau.
She was a member of Calvert City Presbyterian Church.
Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Buss Paar of Gilbertsville, Ky.; two sons, Steve Paar of Festus, Mo., and Jon Paar of St. Peters, Mo.; a daughter, Lynn Dee Thomas of Nashville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Kara Paar and Erika Paar, both of St. Peters, Frankie Paar and Josey Parr, both of Festus, Anne Dee Thomas, Nathan Thomas and Abby Thomas, all of Nashville.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Burton Seabaugh; mother, Virginia Seabaugh; and sister, Anna Lee Howard.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Farone officiating.
Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to M.D. Anderson Hospital or Calvert City Presbyterian Church in Calvert City, Ky.
