Dorothy T. Steedman Otto, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.
She was born Feb. 10, 1920, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, to John James and Dorothy Tucker Steedman. She and Thomas Garfield Otto were married May 20, 1944, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He preceded her in death April 9, 1992.
She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Chapter BI PEO, Saint Francis Auxiliary and Friends of Saint Francis. Dorothy graduated from the University of Alberta in 1943 with a bachelor of science degree in public health nursing.
Survivors include three sons, David Garfield Otto (Jackie) of Cape Girardeau, Graham James Otto (Cynthia) and Thomas John Otto (Elizabeth) of St. Louis; a brother, John Malcolm Steedman of Billings, Mont.; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Mary Louise Otto.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Christ Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Bob Towner officiating.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
