Dorothy Mae Humphreys, 79, of Cape Girardeau, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 27, 1921, in Kelso, Mo., daughter of Benjamin John and Dorothy Theresa Heuring Enderle. She and Harold Robert Humphreys were married Aug. 2, 1941, in Kelso.
Humphreys was the owner and operator of Harold's Grocery in Scott City, Mo., from 1963 to 1979. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Ronnie E. Humphreys of Hermosa Beach, Calif.; four brothers, Edwin Enderle of Kelso, Felix Enderle of New Hamburg, Mo., Bill Enderle of Scott City and Tom Enderle of Cape Girardeau; and three sisters, Ethel Unnerstall, Lucille Sneed and Catherine Halter, all of Benton, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Amick Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Parish prayers will be at 6:30 p.m.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso. The Rev. Oliver Clavin will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
