DOROTHY MAE GIBBS

MORLEY -- Dorothy Mae Gibbs, 75, of Morley died Saturday, June 28, 1997, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee.

She was born June 14, 1922, in Morehouse, daughter of Peter James and Sarah Sturgeon Foister. She married Elman Gibbs on April 25, 1947, at Crowder. He survives her.

Gibbs had been a homemaker. She was a member of the Tanner Street Church of God in Sikeston.

She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Gunter of Benton and Sarah Curd of Chaffee, a brother, Ulis Foister of Cape Girardeau and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.

Funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton, with the Rev. Carl Addison officiating. Friends may call today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery in Morley.
