Dorothy M. Lewis, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, July 2, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born May 15, 1913, in Marshfield, the daughter of Robert and Emma Moore Robertson. On May 22, 1939, she married Roscoe Lewis, who survives.
Other survivors include a son, John Robert Lewis of St. Louis and a grandson.
She moved in 1952 from Springfield to Cape Girardeau, where she graduated from Southeast Missouri State University. She was a school teacher at Washington Grade School for 16 years prior to her retirement in 1978.
She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, ADK sorority, the Retired Teachers Association, the Cape Girardeau Country Club, the Women's Golf Association, the Business and Professional Women's Club and the Federated Garden Club.
Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau, where funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Neil Stein will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
