Dorothy Ruth Lemonds, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at her home. She was born Aug. 14, 1923, in St. Louis, daughter of Chester Arthur and Addie Mae Watkins Lemonds. Lemonds served in the Air Force from July 7, 1958, to July 6, 1961. She retired after 34 years at Bell South Telephone Co. in Orlando, Fla. She was a member of Telephone Pioneers Of America and American Legion Post 227 in Orlando. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church...

Dorothy Ruth Lemonds, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at her home.

Survivors include a brother, Chester Lemonds of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Ruby L. Neihart and Joan C. Jones, both of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Cape County Memorial Park, with the Rev. David Hulshof officiating.

Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park with full military rites by the Missouri Honors Team.
