DEXTER -- Dorothy Lampley, 88, of Dexter died Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
She was born Oct. 10, 1910, at Morley, daughter of Albert and Mabel Ramsey Lay. She and Lawrence L. Lampley were married in 1929. He died July 11, 1970.
Lampley formerly lived at Oran and Puxico, moving to Dexter in 1972. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church at Dexter.
Survivors include a son, Lowell Lampley of Troy; two daughters, Wanda Trent of Vernon, Fla., Betty Acres of Panama City Beach, Fla.; two brothers, A.C. Lay of Dexter, Hugh Lay of Bloomfield; a sister, Jessie McRoy of Dexter; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Gene Partin will officiate. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
