PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Dorothy Johnson, 85, of Perryville died Monday, May 26, 2014, at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville.

She was born Aug. 23, 1928, in Perry County, the daughter of Herbert W. and Edna Shrum Conrad. She and Leslie Johnson were married Dec. 6, 1947. He preceded her in death Dec. 15, 2011.

Dorothy had been a clerk at Wal-Mart and worked at International Shoe Factory. She was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church, a member of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 46 and the United Methodist Women's Group.

Survivors include two daughters, Sherry (Bill) Cottner and Nancy Cottner, all of Perryville; three grandchildren, Justin Cottner of Cape Girardeau and Kyle and Kristopher Cottner, both of Las Vegas; and two great-grandchildren, Mason and Desirae, both of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one brother, Perry Conrad.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home, with Eastern Star at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue from 6:30 until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Greg Dowler officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society or Crossroads United Methodist Church.
