Humphrey, 78, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 1998, at Sikeston Health Center.

She was born Feb. 19, 1920, in Huntsville, Ark., daughter of Joe and Ella Thomas Whiteley.

Survivors include two sons, Bill Humphrey of Pocahontas, Dean Stroud of Jackson; two daughters, Jean Hartlein and Jan Davis of Sikeston; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
