CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Dorothy B. Hathhorn, formerly of Charleston, will be held at 11 a.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Rick White will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. to service time.
Hathhorn, 83, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 1996, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 24, 1913, in Memphis, Tenn., daughter of Pink L. and Mary Stanfill Bastain. She and Virgil Hathhorn were married July 30, 1949. He died Nov. 14, 1971.
Hathhorn had lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was a secretary in the law office of Danforth Joslyn and for Charleston R-1 Board of Education. She was also registrar of Mississippi County a number of years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women.
Survivors include a son, George Hathhorn of Cape Girardeau; and two granddaughters.
