Dorothy Helen Waltz, 76, 2531 Ranchito, died Thursday, March 23, 1995, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Nov. 23, 1918, in Keota, Iowa, daughter of Samuel C. and Mary Fixmer Singmaster. She first married Raymond E. Beaver March 7, 1946. He died Nov. 13, 1967. She later married Thomas F. Waltz in March 1972 in Cape Girardeau.
Waltz graduated from the University of Iowa Nursing School in 1939. She had lived in Cape Girardeau 25 years and worked at Southeast Missouri Hospital several years. She attended First Presbyterian Church here, but was a member of the Methodist Church in New Sharon, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Jerry Beaver of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Diane Johnson of Mission Hills, Kan., Susan Younghouse of Cape Girardeau; two stepsons, J. Fred Waltz of Cape Girardeau, Thomas Waltz of Kirkwood; five grandchildren, and two stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Harden Funeral Home in New Sharon. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery at New Sharon.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
