SIKESTON -- Dorothy E. Guter, 86, of Sikeston died Monday, March 30, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. She was born Aug. 2, 1911, in Latrobe, Pa., daughter of Joseph M. and Estella Durnham Ransel. She and Richard G. Guter were married Nov. 6, 1935, in Latrobe. He died Jan. 25, 1983...

SIKESTON -- Dorothy E. Guter, 86, of Sikeston died Monday, March 30, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 2, 1911, in Latrobe, Pa., daughter of Joseph M. and Estella Durnham Ransel. She and Richard G. Guter were married Nov. 6, 1935, in Latrobe. He died Jan. 25, 1983.

Guter lived many years in Charleston, W.Va., moving to Sikeston in July 1983. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church.

Survivors include a son, Richard Guter of Freehold, N.J.; two daughters, Sue Tangeman of Sikeston, Barbara Goetzman of Nashville, Tenn.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at Barlow-Bonsall Funeral Home in Charleston, W.Va., from 6-8 p.m. Thursday. The rosary will be recited at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Agnes Church in Kanawha City, W.Va., with the Rev. John McDonnell officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in South Charleston, W.Va.

A memorial mass will be held at a later date at St. Francis Church in Sikeston.

Nunnelee Funeral Chapel was in charge of local arrangements.
