Dorothy J. Gromer, 59, of Marquand, Mo., died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 2, 1945, at Perryville, Mo., daughter of Willard and Irene Berry Thompson. She and Arnold B. Gromer were married March 6, 1964, at Marquand.
She was a designer for the International Shoe Co. in Perryville and was a member of New Salem Baptist Church at Marble Hill, Mo.
Survivors include her husband; a brother, Edward Thompson of Perryville; three sisters, Florence Adams of Grand Pass, Ore., Helen Renaud of Perryville and Bernice Hammond of Baxter, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Patton, Mo.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gene Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Whitener Cemetery at Marquand.
