Dorothy P. Garlinghouse, 80, of Lenexa, Kan., died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 1996, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Shawnee, Kan.
She was born Sept. 17, 1915, in Kansas City, Kan., daughter of John and Caroline Potts Rogers. She married George L. Garlinghouse, who died in 1976.
Garlinghouse lived in Cape Girardeau from 1947-55, in Salina, Kan., from 1955-89, and in Lenexa since 1989.
She had worked in food service at Asbury Hospital in Salina. She was a member of First Christian Church in Salina, AARP and SCARC.
Survivors include a son, John Garlinghouse of Williamsburg, Va.; two brothers, John Rogers of Los Alamos, N.M., Ernest Rogers of Kansas City, Kan.; a sister, Mary Simpson of Lake of the Ozarks, and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Private memorial service will be held.
