JACKSON -- Dorothy Fulbright Schaper, 73, of 111 N. Bast St., in Jackson, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 1992. She was born June 28, 1919, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of George D. and Grace Nicholas Fulbright. She attended Cape Girardeau Public Schools and was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State in 1940. JACKSON -- Dorothy Fulbright Schaper, 73, of 111 N. Bast St., in Jackson, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 1992.

She was born June 28, 1919, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of George D. and Grace Nicholas Fulbright.

She attended Cape Girardeau Public Schools and was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State in 1940. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Cape Girardeau until her marriage and served as a pianist there for a number of years.

On April 20, 1947, she married Bernard J. Schaper of Jackson. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Nancy Schaper of Boulder, Colo., and Teri Allen of Temple, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, George and Dorothy Fulbright of Hurst, Texas; and two grandchildren.

She was a member of the New McKendree United Methodist Church, the Naomi Circle, Womens Society of Christian Service and Methodist Young at Hearts. She also was an active member of the Jackson Heritage Association and served as a hostess at the Oliver House for a number of years. Other organizations include the Genealogical Society, Jackson Park Board, Suburban Garden Club and PsiPsiPsi.

Visitation will be today from 4-8 p.m. at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Chapel in Jackson, with funeral services at New McKendree United Methodist Church at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Otto Steinhaus will officiate. Internment will follow at Memorial Park.
