SIKESTON -- Dorothy Lorene Ford, 77, of Sikeston died Sunday, Sept. 29, 1996, at her home.
She was born May 4, 1919, in Thompsonville, Ill., daughter of Norman and Georgia Henninger Summers.
Ford had been a seamstress at a uniform company in Miami, Fla.
Survivors include three sons, Bobby Bell of Shreveport, La., David Bell of Melbourne, Fla., Roy Bell of Lake City, Fla.; a daughter, Mary Staggs of Woodbine, Ga.; two sisters, Velma Hill of Sikeston, Anna Dooley of Chaffee; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters and six brothers.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Kenneth Jarvis officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
