PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Dorothy M. Esselman, 75, of Perryville died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003, in Perryville.
She was born Feb. 15, 1928, at Menfro, Mo., daughter of John and Myrtle Schremp Glaub. She and Eugene T. Esselman were married Dec. 30, 1950. He died June 4, 1971.
Esselman was a self-employed seamstress in St. Louis 23 years, and retired from Thorngate Ltd. in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, Ron Esselman of Perryville; a brother, Ralph Glaub of Avondale, La.; three sisters, Anna Oney of Middleton, Ohio, Mildred Kiefer of Perryville, Delores Smith of Wynne, Ark.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, a son, and two sisters.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. today, and Friday from 6:30 to 11 a.m. The parish wake will be at 6 tonight.
Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
