CAIRO, Ill. -- Dorothy E. Holmes, 75, of Paducah, Ky., formerly of Cairo, died Friday morning, Nov. 8, 1991, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.

She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Cairo.

She married Loren L. Holmes, who died in 1964.

Surviving are one son, Howard Worthington of Panama City, Fla.; a daughter, Sarah Cook Sams, Paducah; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 4-6 p.m. Monday.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Sister Della Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery at Mound City, Ill.
