SIKESTON -- Dorothy Cox, 58, of Sikeston died Friday, May 8, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 10, 1939, in Banks, Miss., daughter of Henry and Caroline Johnson.
Cox was a member of St. John's Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Michelle Cox and Trina Johnson of Sikeston, Shelia Brownlee of Turrell, Ark., Ruthie Bailey of Detroit, Mich., Patricia Cox of Cape Girardeau; five sons, Michael Cox, Eugene, Don, Calvin and Eric Johnson, all of Sikeston; and her mother of Detroit.
Also surviving are two sisters, Augusta Williams and Velma Trammell of Detroit; four brothers, Henry, James and Jack Johnson, all of Detroit, Charlie Johnson of Turrell; and 29 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, twin sister, two brothers, and a grandson.
Friends may call at Olive Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Turrell from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Paradise Gardens Cemetery in Edmondson, Ark.
