Dorothy S. Carter, 97, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2000, at Ratliff Care Center.
She was born Feb. 4, 1902, in Cobden, Ill., daughter of William D. and Donna I. Wing Sisk. She and Nick F. Carter were married Sept. 21, 1921, in Mound City, Ill. He died April 26, 1964.
Carter was a saleswoman at JCPenney 32 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Hilda Paulsboe of Lombard, Ill.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, and three sisters.
Funeral will be at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel at noon Saturday. The Rev. Cy Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the chapel Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time.
