MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Dorothy H. Brust, 75, of Mound City died Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at the home of a daughter.
She was born July 21, 1925, in Grand Chain, Ill., daughter of James and Agnes George Neeley. She married Wilmer "Whimpey" Brust, who died in 1979.
Brust had worked at Bode Drug Store.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and its Ladies Sodality, Mound City Community High School Reunion Committee Board of Directors, vice president of Mound City Women's Club, chairman of Pulaski County Republicans, member of Pulaski County Republican Booster Club, Mounds VFW Auxiliary, and Caledonia Chapter 587 Order of Eastern Star in Pulaski, Ill.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Dover of Mound City; a sister, Thelma Gardner of Mound City; two brothers, Thomas Neeley of Cairo, Ill., Kenneth Neeley of Lady Lake, Fla.; two granddaughters; and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City from 5-9 p.m. Friday, and Saturday at St. Mary's Church from 10 a.m. until service time. Parish prayers will be said at 7:30 tonight.
Funeral Mass will be at noon Saturday at St. Mary's Church. Msgr. Bill McGhee and the Rev. Robert Gore will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery at Mounds, Ill.
