Dorothy Botsch

BERNIE, Mo. -- Dorothy Botsch, 88, of Bernie died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.

She was born Jan. 10, 1920, at Parma, Mo., daughter of Walter and Lelia Smith Howell. She and Ernest Botsch were married Dec. 24, 1939. He died Feb. 23, 2007.

Botsch was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include four daughters, JoAnn Smart of Tucson, Ariz., Mary Lou Bass of Cape Girardeau, Judy Thurston of Bernie, Joyce Ralston of Troutdale, Ore.; two sisters, Mary Davis of Dexter, Opal Rodgers of Gordonville; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, with the Rev. Tom Bass officiating. Burial will be in Bernie Cemetery.
