CAIRO, Ill. -- Dorothy K. Bossaller, 94, of Cairo died Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 10, 1921, in St. Louis to Harry A. and Mary A. Dustman Kombrink. She and Herman Bossaller were married Oct. 1, 1945. He preceded her in death March 2, 1979.
Dorothy retired from the St. Louis public school system as a secretary. She was a member of Mighty Rivers Worship Center in Cairo almost 20 years, where she was a shepherdess, worked at Mighty Rivers Thrift Shop, and was a handbell ringer and member of the administrative board.
She enjoyed reading, working puzzles, quilting, sewing and volunteering with the Girl Scouts.
Survivors include a daughter, Dolores Bossaller of Cairo; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Friends may gather at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mighty Rivers Worship Center.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
