SCOTT CITY -- Funeral service for Dorothy M. Mitchell Berbling of Scott City will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call at the chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Berbling, 38, died Monday, Sept. 8, 1997, in a car-school bus accident near Olive Branch, Ill.

She was born Dec. 18, 1958, in Tennessee, daughter of Jerry D. and Mary Cox Mitchell.

Berbling was a 1978 graduate of Scott City High School, and a graduate of Shawnee Community College where she was involved in music and theater.

Survivors include two sons, Charles "Neal" Berbling of Scott City, Chris Berbling of Cairo, Ill.; a daughter, Heather Story of Wickliffe, Ky.; her mother of Scott City; a brother, James Mitchell of Norfolk, Va.; two sisters, Bobbie Kohlfeld of Cape Girardeau, and Donnell Baumbach of Largo, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her father.
