Graveside service for Dorothy A. Eckelmann of Cape Girardeau will be held at 2 p.m. today at Memorial Park. Pastor James Caughlan will officiate.
Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Eckelmann, 88, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 1995, at Ratliff Care Center.
She was born Oct. 15, 1907, in St. Louis, daughter of Louis and Edna Auchter Eckelmann.
Eckelmann received a bachelor of science degree from Southeast Missouri State University in 1929, master's degree from the University of Missouri in 1938, and Ph.D. from the University of Iowa in 1952.
She was on the faculty of the University of Illinois 28 years, and was head of the speech pathology department 20 years. She was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ.
Survivors include a brother, Louis Eckelmann of Springfield, and a sister, Evelyn Camp of Poplar Bluff.
She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
