PULASKI, Ill. -- Dorothea Curry, 87, of Pulaski died Thursday, Sept. 25, 1997, at the home of a sister-in-law in Villa Ridge.
She was born Sept. 19, 1910, at Ullin, daughter of Frank and Margaret Warnock Hickman. She and James L. Curry were married May 29, 1931. He died June 25, 1980.
Curry was a former Pulaski correspondent for the Cairo Citizen Newspaper. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and served as church clerk and pianist; and was a member of Magnolia Garden Club.
She was a former RSVP coordinator for Pulaski County, and had been a floriculture superintendent at Pulaski County Fair.
Survivors include a sister, Frances Lutz of Anna.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and four brothers.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin after 5 p.m. today, and after 10 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Pleasant Church.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Herman Painter officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens.
