MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Dorotha Irene Diesel Rhodes, 88, of Marble Hill passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020, at Woodland Hills.
She was born Aug. 26, 1931, in St. Louis, daughter of Fred Ray and Lena Irene Howard Diesel. She and Joseph Johnson Rhodes were united in marriage July 21, 1948, and he passed away March 25, 2000.
Dorotha was a homemaker and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Gravelton, Missouri.
Survivors include her grandson, Sam Rhodes (Lindsay) of Austin, Texas; great-grandsons, Maddux Walker Rhodes and Joseph Tanner Rhodes; sister-in-law, Nellie Diesel; and caretakers, Daniel Lichtenegger and Helen Myers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "Johnny," parents; son, Gary Wayne Rhodes; daughter, Nancy Kay; grandson, Anthony Wayne Rhodes; and brothers, Elmer, Paul, George and Stanley Diesel.
Visitation will be from 9:30 until time of service at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday Zion Lutheran Church in Gravelton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Gravelton.
