DORIS STEPHENS

GLEN ALLEN -- Doris Stephens, 66, of Glen Allen died Thursday, May 14, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 11, 1932, at Buccahannon, daughter of Elmer O. and Ethel Hinkle Sitze. She and Roy Lee Sitzes were married in 1949. She and Jerry L. Stephens were married in 1958. He died March 19, 1988.

Stephens was a member of First Baptist Church at Marble Hill.

Survivors include three sons, Charles Sitzes of Ben Wheeler, Texas, Alan Sitzes of Terrell Texas, Larry Stephens of Marble Hill; a daughter, Lydia Stull of Glen Allen; a stepson, Gary Stephens of Marble Hill; a stepdaughter, Sandra Schwartz of Marble Hill; a brother, Roy Sitze of Lufkin, Texas; a sister, Maude Younger of Alton, Ill.; 22 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, three brothers, and two sisters.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
