Doris Puls, 90, of Jackson died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 12, 1929, in Wardell, Missouri, to John and Callie Lee Norton Long. She and Henry Puls were married July 3, 1948, at Blytheville, Arkansas. He preceded her in death Aug. 7, 1992.
Doris enjoyed spending time with family, walking and gardening. She loved animals and had a special fondness for her dogs.
She was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Henry Charles Puls of Chesterfield, Missouri; daughters, Mary Doris Puls and Carol Lee Walters, both of Jackson; sisters, Peggy Alprin of St. Louis, Joyce Erickson of Arizona and Carol Dobyns of Saint Peters, Missouri; grandchildren, Casey Collier, Robin Crocker, Eric Walters, Carly Walters and Nicky Boston; and great-grandchildren, Kyle Collier, Katie Collier and Jack Sullivan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Linda Jean Puls; sister, Jean Sandvigen; brother, Wayne Long; and grandchild, Bobbi Christina Jones.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to Humane Society of Southeast Missouri or American Cancer Society.
