SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Funeral for Doris Mercer of Scott City will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. Dennis Bell will officiate. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
Friends may call at the chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Mercer, 90, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001, at her home.
She was born June 21, 1911, at Illmo, Mo., daughter of Jess and Rosa Evans Magee. She and William Thomas Mercer were married June 4, 1933. He died June 4, 1982.
Mercer had been a seamstress at Ely Walker. She was a member of Illmo Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Rita Sturm of Scott City; a brother, Jess Magee of Nashville, Tenn.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
