JACKSON -- Doris E. Matthews, 86, of Jackson died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Dec. 17, 1911, at Oak Ridge, daughter of Harry and Lula Kiepe Sutton. She and Pat Matthews were married Dec. 5, 1934. He died in January 1987...

JACKSON -- Doris E. Matthews, 86, of Jackson died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 17, 1911, at Oak Ridge, daughter of Harry and Lula Kiepe Sutton. She and Pat Matthews were married Dec. 5, 1934. He died in January 1987.

Matthews was a member of Oak Ridge United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a niece, Jacqueline Kennedy.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Janet Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery near Oak Ridge.
