DORIS LAPLANT

SIKESTON -- Doris C. LaPlant, 74, of Sikeston died Friday, Aug. 6, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Nov. 8, 1918, at East Prairie, the daughter of Henry Clay and Mary B. Higgins Cutliph. On Nov. 23, 1936, she married Clifford N. LaPlant, who preceded her in death March 28, 1993.

She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She also was active in girl scouts and was a past member of the board of the Cotton Bowl Girl Scout Council.

Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Aduddell and Mary Beth Lee, both of Sikeston; two sisters, Lucille Place of Memphis, Tenn. and Almeda Presley of Panama City Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Funeral service is at 2 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Tom Geers will officiate, and burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
