JONESBORO, Ill. -- Dorian "Pinky" Buckley, 72, of Jonesboro, formerly of Chicago, died Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Integrity Healthcare Center in Anna, Illinois.
He was born Nov. 20, 1945, in Muskegon, Michigan, the son of Joseph and Doris Wilson Buckley. He and Laura Grubbe married June 5, 1971, and she preceded him in death Jan. 25, 2015.
Dorian served his country in the U.S. Army. After his service, he worked at Saint Francis Medical Center for more than 30 years in the radiology department. In his spare time, he enjoyed carpentry and blacksmith work.
He is survived by his mother, Doris Buckley of Shorewood, Illinois; brothers, David (Rebecca) Buckley of Shorewood, George (Karen) Buckley of Hartland, Wisconsin, and Joe (Diane) Buckley of Phoenix; brother-in-law, Leslie (Michael) Grubbe of Anna; nieces, Beth Fricke of Anna and Emma (Zach) Schauer of Ashland, Oregon; nephews, Matt Buckley of Hartland and Stephen Buckley of Bradenton, Florida; and other relatives and many friends.
Dorian was preceded in death by his father and wife.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Crain Funeral Home in Anna. Military honors will be accorded.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
