DORENE I. HENLEY

SIKESTON -- Dorene I. Henley, 77, of Sikeston, died Thursday, July 8, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 22, 1916, in Lonoke, Ark., daughter of Ross and Mary Clement Leigh. She and Robert "Gabe" Henley were married Dec. 29, 1939, at Charleston.

Henley was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, its Fellowship Circle and Friendly Friday Nighters, and served on the Memorial and Altar Committee. She was a member of the medical center's auxiliary many years.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Bobby Lott of Bennettsville, S.C., Robert Henley of Sikeston; two brothers, W.C. Leigh of Sikeston, Charles Leigh of Kansas City; three sisters, Avalene Spear, Mary Scott and Betty Jones of Sikeston; two grandchildren, and a great-grnadson.

She was preceded in death by two infant sons.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Jerry Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
