BENTON, Mo. -- Dora Ann Slusher, 88, of Benton died Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at her home. She was born Jan. 28, 1933, in Malden, Missouri, to Ray and Laura Maben McElrath. She married Glen W. Slusher, and he preceded her in death Jan. 22, 2009. She was a homemaker, farmer and owner/operator with her husband, Glen, of Slusher Inc. in Sikeston, Missouri, which the two of them started. BENTON, Mo. -- Dora Ann Slusher, 88, of Benton died Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at her home.

She was born Jan. 28, 1933, in Malden, Missouri, to Ray and Laura Maben McElrath. She married Glen W. Slusher, and he preceded her in death Jan. 22, 2009.

She was a homemaker, farmer and owner/operator with her husband, Glen, of Slusher Inc. in Sikeston, Missouri, which the two of them started. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary 369 of Benton and she was a member of the Benton Red Hat's.

She is survived by children, Cynthia (Larry) Farrenburg of Wichita, Kansas, and Donna (Mike) Thompson and Glen A. (Ronda) Slusher of Benton; a brother, Wayne McElrath of Goodyear, Arizona; 11 grandchildren, Chad (Jennifer) Farrenburg, DeAnn (Shane) Jones, Nikki (Brian) Armstrong, Elizabeth (Ryan) Nance, Sara (Jamie) Parks, Veronica (Charles) Conley, Benjamin (Jessie) Vinyard, Chevy (Lisa) Slusher and Cory (Lisa) Slusher, Christina White and Jamie (Heather) Thompson; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Dora was also preceded in death by five brothers, Raymond, Marvin, Roy, Joy and Harold Dean McElrath, and a sister, Viola Rigs.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel with Darin Watkins officiating. Burial will be in Elders Cemetery in Malden.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of choice.
