CHAFFEE -- Dora Mildred Rister, 85, of Chaffee died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.
She was born Dec. 20, 1913, near Dutchtown, daughter of John C. and Mary Katherine Thomas Stidham. She and Arlie O. Rister Sr. were married on Aug. 6, 1931. He died June 4, 1965.
She was a retired machine operator at Bucksteins Chafee Manufacturing. Later, she worked as a cook at the Lucky 13 Bowling Lanes in Chaffee.
She was a member of Chaffee VFW Auxiliary Post 3127.
Survivors include two sons, Arlie Rister Jr. of Chaffee and Sonny Rister of Scott City, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a step-grandchild, four step-great-grandchildren and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee beginning at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. The Rev. Neil Franks will officiate, with burial at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
