ZALMA, Mo. -- Dora Morgan, 106, of Advance, Mo., for the last four years and formerly of Zalma, passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct, 31, 1906, at Lowndes, Mo., the daughter of Andrew Jackson and Canzada Stevens Hogg.
Dora was a homemaker and a member of Brush Creek Church near Zalma.
Dora and Lynn Fish were united in marriage March 18, 1925, at Zalma, and he preceded her in death Oct. 9, 1954. She married William A. Morgan on Aug. 6, 1955, at Amboy, Ill., and he preceded her in death Aug. 10, 1992.
Survivors include a daughter, Lela Brown of Advance; two stepdaughters, Irene Fee of East Alton, Ill., and Lois Elledge of Sikeston, Mo.; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Carl Fish; an infant daughter; a great-grandson; her parents; two brothers; and seven sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Bill Sargent officiating with assistance from the Rev. Eric Shrum. Burial will be in Brush Creek Cemetery near Zalma.
