Dora May Walker, 93, passed away Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 13, 1928, in Dudley, Missouri, daughter of Luther and Ara Elizabeth Hobbs Moore. She and Donald R. Walker were married on July 26, 1947, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He passed away July 23, 2009.
Dora worked as a seamstress, a sales clerk for J.C. Penney and as a lobby hostess at McDonald's in Poplar Bluff.
Loving survivors include two daughters, Vicki L. Hicks and Joni (Rick) Lott, both of Cape Girardeau; a granddaughter, Erin (Logan) Steele of Poplar Bluff; and great-grandsons, Lucas Steele and Landon Steele of Poplar Bluff.
Dora was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years; parents; a brother, Carl Moore; and a sister, Rachel Buffington.
The family will have a private graveside service and burial.
Cotrell Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff is in charge of arrangements.
