Dora L. "Johnny" Koehler, 92, of Jackson passed away Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau. She was born Dec. 31, 1922, in Oran, Missouri, daughter of Lawrence and Matilda Bullinger Schaefer. She and Henry C. "Clem" Koehler were married Jan. 7, 1941. Dora L. "Johnny" Koehler, 92, of Jackson passed away Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 31, 1922, in Oran, Missouri, daughter of Lawrence and Matilda Bullinger Schaefer. She and Henry C. "Clem" Koehler were married Jan. 7, 1941. He preceded her in death March 10, 1989.

Dora was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson. She was also a member of St. Ann's Sodality Society at the church, and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Jackson.

Loving survivors include six children, Mary Ann (Jim) Cotner of Bowling Green, Missouri, Kenneth (Carol) Koehler and Tom (Shirley) Koehler of Jackson, Phyllis (Terry) Dunn of Austell, Georgia, Roger (Margie) Koehler of Buchanan, Tennessee, and Diana Johnson of Jackson; a sister, Rose Baugus of Cape Girardeau; 25 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Dora was preceded in death by two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, six brothers and a sister.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. The rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, with the Rev. John Harth officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Shriners Hospital or to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis.
